Tug of war tournament held in Dagestan among teams of VOGOiP units of the Russian Interior Ministry

The VOGOiP press center of the Russian Interior Ministry on preparations for the Day of Employees of the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Russian Federation

Sports events dedicated to the Day of Employees of the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Russian Federation are continuing in the Temporary Operational Group of Internal Affairs Bodies and Units (Vremennaya operativnaya gruppirovka organov i podrazdeleniy, VOGOiP). This time, police officers from various VOGOiP units of the Russian Interior Ministry competed in tug of war in the Republic of Dagestan.

More than 50 participants from 10 teams representing temporary operational groups, mobile units, directorates and divisions of the VOGOiP of the Russian Interior Ministry took turns fighting for a place in the final. The most resilient teams and those with the most effective tactics stayed in contention. The chief referee was police captain Alexander Filippenko, deputy commander of the Russian Interior Ministry's mobile unit in the Republic of Dagestan.

The final pitted the team of the VOGOiP command group of the Russian Interior Ministry against the team of the Russian Interior Ministry's temporary operational group in the Chechen Republic. After a hard-fought contest, the first team won and the second took "silver". The "bronze" went to the team of the Russian Interior Ministry's temporary operational group in the Republic of Dagestan.

For all the participants, winners and fans, the main prize of the day was a festive concert performed by their colleagues from various units of the Group.
