Sports festival in Kineshma

On August 12, a sports festival dedicated to Physical Culture Day was held in Kineshma, Ivanovo Region. The festival program included competitions in triathlon, streetball, beach volleyball, orienteering, pull-ups on the bar, long jump and tug of war.

The central event of the festival was the final of the tug of war competition, contested by the team of the Kineshma Civil Defense unit of the Emergencies Ministry (GO MChS) and the Kineshma physical culture team.

After a hard and stubborn struggle, the Kineshma GO MChS team won. Throughout the tug of war tournament, the Secretary General of the Russian Tug of War Federation, Boris Vladimirovich Grishin, was personally present; he held a master class for those wishing to take up and develop this sport in Kineshma and set up a local regional tug of war branch.

The festival dedicated to Physical Culture Day was organized at a high level thanks to the support of the Kineshma city administration and the city's physical culture teams; and, of course, a huge contribution to the preparation and holding of the event was made by Ivan Mikhailovich Lebedev, head of the physical culture and sport department of the Kineshma city administration.
